WEC WaterJet
WEC Waterjet, also known as WECJet, is a specialist division of WEC Group, delivering precision waterjet cutting and plasma cutting services to the UK’s highest standards. Using the latest technology, we can cut virtually any material – up to 200mm thick – including those unsuitable for laser cutting or beyond standard laser cutting capacities.
As part of WEC Group, we are one of the UK’s largest Waterjet Cutting Companies who support both OEMs and small businesses with a full range of in-house manufacturing solutions. With over 45 years of engineering heritage, WEC Group has grown from a small fabrication shop in Darwen, Lancashire into one of Europe’s leading contract manufacturing companies, trusted across industries for quality, capability, and innovation.
Our Cutting Capabilities
WEC Waterjet is home to some of the UK’s most advanced water jet cutting machines. With the ability to cut materials up to 4m x 3m wide and 300mm thick, or 7.3m x 2.4m x 200mm for waterjet cutting or 10m x 2.5m x 50mm for plasma cutting, we offer fast, precise, and versatile cutting solutions for a wide range of applications.

Waterjet Cutting with 3D Motion Control Software
At WEC Waterjet, we harness the power of specialist 3D and computerised motion control software to deliver highly precise and versatile water jet cutting services. This advanced technology allows us to produce complex shapes, contours, and intricate profiles that would be difficult or impossible using traditional methods. With the capacity to cut materials up to 300mm thick and a generous max bed size of 7.3m x 2.4m, our software-driven systems ensure exceptional accuracy, smooth edges, and consistent performance across a wide range of materials and project types.
Advanced Bevel Cutting with Rotational Plasma Technology
Our high-definition plasma cutting machine features a fully rotational bevel head, designed to deliver advanced, multi-axis cutting with exceptional precision. Capable of bevel cutting up to ±50°, the head enables intricate edge preparations for a wide range of applications, including V, A, and Top-Y bevels, as well as straight-edge and radius weld preps, countersinks, and other bespoke profiles.
This powerful technology allows us to cut metal components up to 50mm thick quickly and cost-effectively, with the ability to perform complex bevel cuts in a single process, eliminating the need for secondary machining.
