Our WECJet division, trading as WEC WaterJet, delivers advanced water jet cutting for virtually any material up to 300mm thick, all without heat-affected zones. Founded in 2013 and based in a state-of-the-art facility in Blackburn, Lancashire, WEC WaterJet strengthens our profiling capabilities, giving customers greater flexibility in cutting methods and material choices.
Our Capabilities
Utilising specialist 3D and computerised motion control software, we can create intricate shapes and cut materials up to 200mm thick, with a bed size of 7.3 x 2.4m or 300mm thick with a bed size of 4m x 3m, and precision matching machined tolerances of +/- 0.1mm. With three state-of-the-art water jet cutting machines on-site, we excel in cutting high strength steel, abrasion resistant steel, armoured plate and composite materials, serving niche markets like Aviation, Offshore, Quarrying, Aerospace and Defence.
Our accreditation to the ISO9001:2015 Quality standard ensures top-notch quality, and we cater to diverse various other industries including automotive, Formula 1, architectural, construction, engineering, marine, and oil & gas.
We can cut a wide array of materials up to 300mm thick, including Aluminium, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Hardox®, Armox®, Strenx®, Corten streel, Iron, Acrylics, Plastics, Carpet, Cork, Foamex, Rubber, Glass, Fibreglass, Carbon Fibre, Wood, Leather, Silicone, Granite, Limestone, Marble, Slate, Ceramics, Composites, and more. We can also provide a stacked cutting service, enabling us to cut various sheets / parts to size in one go.
