Weldox Water Jet Cutting Services

Weldox is a high-strength structural steel renowned for its exceptional toughness and weldability, making it a staple in heavy-duty engineering. At WEC WaterJet, we specialise in Weldox water jet cutting, utilising advanced cold-cutting technology to profile this robust material without creating heat-affected zones (HAZ). This ensures the steel retains its original mechanical properties and structural integrity, providing you with high-performance components ready for immediate use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The primary advantage of Weldox waterjet cutting is that it is a cold-cutting process. Unlike laser or plasma, it generates no heat, which means there is no risk of a heat-affected zone (HAZ). This preserves the specialsed high-strength characteristics of the Weldox steel, prevents warping.

Our WECJet division is equipped to handle Weldox water jet cutting for plates up to 300mm thick. We utilise a massive 4m x 3m bed for these heavy-duty requirements, ensuring we can accommodate large-scale industrial components while maintaining a precision tolerance of +/- 0.1mm.

Yes. Weldox waterjet cutting is highly cost-effective because our computerised motion control software reduces material waste through intelligent nesting. Additionally, our “stacked cutting” service allows us to cut multiple parts at once, significantly reducing lead times and labour costs, making it an affordable solution for the Aerospace, Construction, and Marine industries.
